For VPRO Dorst and in Coöperation with the ‘Generatie IK’ program at de Balie, Boris van Hoytema is organising The City of the Future. With a small ‘city council’ of young and student architects, philosophers and designers a concept of a future city will be created.
The council will be guided and inspired by a group of speakers and experts such as Lorenzo de Rita (the Soon Institute), Zef Hemel (Municipality of Amsterdam, dept. of Urban planning/DRO), Juha van ‘t Zelfde (VURB, Non-fiction), John Lonsdale (Architect), Michiel van Iersel (Failed Architecture, Non-fiction) and Jasper Koning (Nederland van Boven, VPRO).

The city council consists of Naomi Jacobs (philosophy), Katusha Sol (sociology), Fransje Oudshoorn (architecture), Mischa Wouterse (urban planning), Tessel Brühl (design), Helena Hoogenkamp (storytelling), Wesley Verhoeven (architecture).
You can follow this project at it’s blog when it will be uploaded, for any more information or if you’d like to help out you can email Boris van Hoytema at boris@non-ficton.nl.
